Rescue Remedy

Rescue Remedy is a queer kid’s hilarious yet heartbreaking attempt to meet their forceful father halfway — literally, on the N2. Through relatable moments from an explosive relationship, the production explores the love, misunderstanding and rage between father and child, proving that sometimes the hardest stories become the funniest in hindsight. Touching on queer identity in contemporary South Africa, a soldier’s trauma and mental health, Rescue Remedy asks whether love is enough to keep the conversation going.
