A soulful singer-songwriter known for her rich vocals and intricate, jazz-influenced rhythms. Based in Cape Town since 2021, she has shared stages with artists like Zoë Modiga and Alice Phoebe Lou. Her performances, whether at vibrant festivals or intimate cafés, are deeply personal and emotionally resonant, showcasing her jazz roots and captivating storytelling.

Karla van Solms
Karla believes music has the power to help us feel the things we often struggle to put into words. Her songs are inspired by life’s ever-changing tides and the quiet beauty found in both joy and hardship. Blending alternative folk, soul and jazz, she writes from lived experience, allowing each song to become a reflection of a season she’s walked through. Having recently moved to Cape Town to pursue her dream of sharing her music, she hopes every performance creates a space where people can pause, connect, and leave feeling just a little more like themselves.
