Bold Beauty Project

Join us for a curator walkabout of Bold Beauty Project: As She Is, led by Marlene le Roux.

Presented as the Western Cape chapter of the international Bold Beauty Project, this exhibition is a collaboration between Bold Beauty Project, 33BREE and The Artists Gallery. Bringing together local photographers and women from diverse backgrounds, the exhibition challenges perceptions of disability and redefines conventional ideas of beauty through intimate portraiture.

As She Is moves beyond narratives of limitation or triumph, inviting audiences to encounter each person not through the lens of difference, but through a shared sense of humanity.

Presented during Women’s Month as part of the HEAT Festival, the exhibition is both a celebration and an invitation to reconsider how we understand beauty, capability and belonging.
